Homemade Strawberry Jam

There’s something special about homemade jam—it’s fresh, flavorful, and free from all the extra stuff store-bought versions have. I’ve been wanting to make my own for a while, and I finally found the perfect recipe! Inspired by Delish.com, I made a few tweaks to suit our tastes, and it turned out amazing.

Ingredients

2 lbs fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped

2 cups granulated sugar

1 tbsp lemon juice

½ tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 20-25 minutes

Yield: 2-3 cups

How to Make It:

  1. In a large pot, combine the strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice.

  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens (about 20-30 minutes).

  3. If you like a smoother jam, mash the strawberries with a potato masher or blend slightly.

  4. Stir in vanilla extract, if using, and remove from heat.

  5. Pour into sterilized jars, let cool, and store in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.

A Few Tips:

Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor.

If you prefer a firmer jam, add a little pectin.

This jam makes a perfect topping for biscuits, pancakes, or yogurt!

I absolutely love how simple and delicious this jam is! If you try it, let me know in the comments. And don’t forget to check out the original recipe from Delish.com for even more inspiration!
