God Called and I Finally Picked Up

If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
— 2 Chronicles 7-14

A Dream That Was More Than Just a Dream

Have you ever had a dream so vivid, so powerful, that when you woke up, it didn’t feel like a dream at all? A moment so real that it left an imprint on your heart, something you couldn’t shake even if you tried? That’s exactly what happened to me.

It was more than just a fleeting thought or a subconscious reflection—it was an intimate moment with God. A divine heart-to-heart where He gently but firmly called me to clean up my act, to let go of the things that were pulling me away from Him, and to step fully into the life He had planned for me.

In the most beautiful way possible, He called me to repent. Not in shame or condemnation, but in love. A love so deep and overwhelming that I knew I couldn’t ignore it. He was asking me to follow Him—not just in the big, noticeable ways but in everything I do, for the rest of my life. And in that moment, I answered.

Saying Yes Wasn’t Easy

I would be dishonest if I said it was that simple. The truth is, surrendering to God isn’t always easy. There are things in this world—comforts, habits, relationships, and even mindsets—that we become attached to. Things that we justify holding onto, even when they quietly pull us away from Him. Walking away from them isn’t just difficult—it can feel impossible.

But here’s the thing: God is gracious when He doesn’t have to be.

He doesn’t demand perfection before He extends His hand. He doesn’t wait for us to have it all figured out. He meets us exactly where we are, and with patience and mercy, He leads us forward. That’s what He did for me.

A Life Forever Changed

Since that moment, my life has never been the same. Has it been easy? No. Have I stumbled? Absolutely. But the difference now is that I no longer walk alone. Every step, every challenge, every decision—I am walking with Him. And the peace that comes with that? It’s unlike anything I have ever known.

I don’t know where you are in your journey, but if you’ve ever felt that tug on your heart, that whisper calling you to something deeper, I encourage you—don’t ignore it. God is always pursuing us, always ready to welcome us with open arms.

Come along with me as I share more about what I experienced and how His grace has transformed my life. I pray that my story encourages you to seek Him with your whole heart because when you do, you will find Him.
